Regarding the post on making better use of HTTP headers. I agree with Jason. We've figured out how to stream real time GPS data from a mobile phone to a web server using the HTTP headers. We've also figured out how to stream the other pieces of data that web admins really need, the exact terminal and device capabilities making the connection. If you're going to give the customer a great user experience then you have to know more about the device you're talking to. Of course the ultimate is to get all of that information in real time along with the users current location.

To protect the privacy of the consumer we made all of this information "opt-in" so they can chose what to share and what not to share.

The future of the web is not what we put on it, it's how we connect and how it recognizes us. Jason correctly points out that to do that he needs more data and HTTP is a great way to get it.

Cheers,

Peter

Given that there are so many challenges and opportunities in fully developing the mobile Web, it's great to see so many 'warblers' spreading the word. Congratulations on assembling such a fine body of posts.
